Grand Tour

Day

  1. Fly from the United States to Europe.
  2. Arrive in Vienna, recuperate and visit Baden, a small town outside of Vienna.
  3. Sightsee Vienna.
  4. Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, meet the New Hope team and see the city. Travel on to the Czech Republic and meet the Czech Staff over the evening dinner at our hotel in Austerlitz, where Napoleon fought the Austrian and Russian armies.
  5. Day trip into Prague, Czech Republic and return to the same hotel in Austerlitz.
  6. Travel into southern Poland and see the concentration camp, Auschwitz. Stay in or near Krakow .
  7. See the city of Krakow, the cultural center of Poland in the afternoon. Travel east and stay in Poland close to the Ukraine border.
  8. Cross the border and spend the afternoon and evening with Ukraine New Hope staff.
  9. Attend church in Lviv. See the city and meet new friends.
  10. Travel through the Karpathian mountains to Debrecen, Hungary, the center for the Hungarian Reformed Church. In the evening, dine with New Hope staff at our hotel.
  11. Visit with Hungarian staff. See the city. Travel to Cluj, Romania with possible stops along the way. Stay in Christian homes.
  12. Shop, sightsee, and meet the Romanian staff.
  13. Travel through the Karpathian mountains via Oradea to Timisoara, where the revolution began. See the sights and meet the New Hope staff. Stay in Christian homes.
  14. Travel via Budapest back to near Vienna, Austria.
  15. Fly out of Vienna, returning to the U.S. the same day.
