Save the Life of an Orphan!
|
|
With our Ukraine Orphan Care Program, New Hope lifts
orphan children out of state-run orphanages, and places
them into solid Evangelical Christian families. The
nurturing and guidance these families can provide can
help heal the scars from being unwanted by biological
parents and under-cared for by short-staffed orphanages.

| Change
the World for One Child |
New Hope
International offers these orphans hope. You can move
a Ukraine orphan into a loving Christian home. Not only
does this mean a refuge from despair, but it also means
these children can . . . |
- Get an education
- Be involved in a youth group and church body
- Eat more nutritiously
- Learn to cook
- Learn how to find and be a faithful spouse
- Learn marketable job skills
- Learn to manage money
- Have a relationship with Jesus Christ
. . . as well as all of the emotional
and psychological benefits of being raised in a real
family, rather than in an institution. Your gifts provide
financial help to families willing to open their homes
to these precious children. |

| The Grim Reality of “Graduating”
From an Orphanage in Ukraine |
| Being raised in government orphanages
leaves children ill-equipped to handle the challenges
they will face when they are released into society, at
age 16. The statistics on orphanage "graduates"
in Ukraine are quite bleak: |
- 70% that
he/she will end up in crime
- 50% that
she will become a prostitute
- 33% that
he/she will be homeless or unemployed
- 30% that
he/she will commit suicide within two years
- 80% that
his/her marriage will end in divorce
|
|
| Why does this happen? Because
these orphanages provide no practical training in even
the basic skills they will need to survive on their own.
They don’t know how to cook, they don’t know
how to clean, how to wash their clothes, how to handle
money; typically, they have no employable skills whatsoever,
and a poor education. . .Nonetheless, they are discharged
into society, wanted by no one other than those seeking
to exploit their innocence. |
| What is the cost of sponsoring a Ukrainian
orphaned child? |
The
cost of this program, to the sponsor, is $50 a month. $45
of this amount goes to help the foster family absorb the cost
of taking on and caring for a new family member. $5 goes to
pay the caseworker overseeing the region of Ukraine in which
the family resides. Each caseworker is involved in regular
meetings, as well as ongoing training in skills like parenting
and child-development, with the foster families they serve.
New Hope International does not take one penny out of the
monthly $50 donation, so 100% of the sponsor’s monthly
gift goes to Ukraine to help their child and family. |
| You Can Change a
Child’s Life |
|
If you could save a girl from becoming
a prostitute . . . if you could save a young boy from committing
suicide . . . If you could provide the nurturing and guidance
a child needs to have a healthy, happy marriage . . . Would
you?
