Programs for High School
Students |
| |
New Hope Czech Republic works with youth in the public schools providing "AIDS, Sex & Dating" lectures in high schools with follow-up evangelism. We have prepared a new follow-on project called the Bouda House Club. Thanks to a local church in Turnov, which has provided space in a house where we have started a Youth club. This is a place where students can come after lectures, to talk with Petr or other staff members or volunteers, to take a rest, use the internet and so on. This will also provide opportunities to talk with a pastor or borrow any of New Hope’s books. The club is open in the afternoon and there are volunteers, as well as a New Hope staff member available, who will be able to help the young people.

| NATO invades Turnov! |
The invasion was GREAT. 200 young Americans, children of American military who work at NATO bases around Europe, spent their Spring vacation working and getting to know a different culture. They built playgrounds and volleyball courts, presented English as a second language program in schools, sports, ....
Mainly they helped us to open doors to new schools and deepen relationship with current schools. The last day we had a Children's day and more than 1000 kids attended.
4 newspapers and national radio provided coverage about New hope and this project. |
